AA12/ :Van de wiele AWM
The Van de Wiele wire loom is a Model AWM 51, width 4.2m, and was purchased in November, 2002, and installed and
started up in early Year 2003. It has a frame work for a full 4.2 meter width but is only set up to weave 146 inches(3.66
m). It is very straightforward to add the additional parts to weave the full 4.2m width. The creel has two additional sections
that when added, will give yarn positions for full 4.2m production.
The loom is equipped with a Schneider dobby. It also has Loepfe drop wire stop motion devices on all yarns from the creel
as well as all warp ends.
Four warp beam positions are at the rear of the loom. There are a total of 14 warp beams included with the loom. Please
note the four warp beams currently on the loom are approximately 75% full. There are two completely full warp beams
ready to put on the loom.
This loom has seen very little run time as the company specializes in tufted commercial carpets. I estimate the loom has
been operated only approximately 1000 hours.
This loom is offered at $200,000 U.S., plant floor.
There is one photo, #7817, of one sample book of carpet woven on the wire loom.
